Mrs. Stahl, Mrs. Lorenz and Ms. Terry worked with the Wellness Wednesday group on the Set design for Jukebox Time Machine, the RIS 5th Grade Musical that will be performed on April 1.

February is Black History Month. Here are just a few famous people with Arkansas ties that your family could learn about this month in honor of Black History: Sidney Moncrief, Louis Jordan, Corliss Williamson (from Russellville!!), Barbara Hendricks, Maya Angelou, Daisy Bates, and Joyce Elise Williams Warren.
Wellness Wednesday Storms worked on a second art project involving different print methods. Marbled Paper using shaving cream and liquid watercolors. The process is fun and easy (and messy ☺️). Thank you Ms. Terry and Mrs. Lorenz for leading this Wellness Wednesday.

Due to current weather reports and an ice storm warning issued by the National Weather Service, RSD has made the decision to close all schools tomorrow, January 22, 2024, in order to ensure the safety of all students and families.
Make Up day information will be announced at a later time.

RIS 2nd Quarter Awards have been moved to next week: Thursday, January 25th: A/B Hallway @ 8:30 C/D Hallway @ 10:00. Enter through the Safe Room Door.
