February 3-7, RIS will be participating in the districtwide Kindness Week.
RIS Storm Robotics teams competed Saturday. Team 72801A won the Innovate Award for the second time! They came in 4th in teamwork challenge and 3rd in skills. Team 72801B came in 2nd in teamwork challenge and 16th in skills. There were 24 total teams competing. Way to go Storms!!

Our Capturing Kids' Heart word of the month is: Team Work. What a great skill to work on the month that has Thanksgiving and family time. Take a moment to look over the CKH newsletter for some great ideas to try at home.

Camp Stormy camp days:
Group A = October 21 and 22
Group D = October 22 and 23
Group B = October 23 and 24
Group C = October 24 and 25
You must bring your student to the back of RIS (off 8th Street) the first morning of their camp, and pick them up in back of RIS by 1:30 the day they return.
If your camp is the first camp on Monday: early drop off 7:30-8:00 in front, regular drop off 8:30-9:00 in back.
Camp Stormy is almost here! Don't forget your supplies! Remember, you have to be able to carry your gear to your cabin by yourself. Pack it so it is easy to carry and is rain resistant!
Storms, Fall Break is Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18th. We hope you enjoy your long weekend!
The last Camp Stormy note comes home today. It has important information about your child's camp day.
If you have not turned in your money for camp or medications, they are both due by Wednesday, October 16th.
