RIS is pleased to announce Quinton Jones as the Student of the Month for March!
"I wish that I had even an ounce of courage that Quinton has when I was his age. He is unapologetically himself and his charisma is undeniable. You never know what is going to come out of his mouth, but you know that it’s going to be kind or it’s going to be funny. He is an absolute joy to be around. While others may be hesitant to show their “out of the box” thinking, Quinton takes the lead and shows others that it’s okay to think differently. He creates a warm space for others to be themselves. The student of the month for RIS is Opal Thompson. Opal is always on time. She is consistently respectful to both adults and her classmates. Opal is very responsible and can be trusted to help whenever needed. She works well in any group setting and is always willing to help others who may be struggling. Opal is a positive role model because she stays on task, remains engaged in her learning, and shows kindness to everyone around her. She is a great friend who encourages others to be their best by setting a wonderful example. Congratulations to our Storm!!

This week is School Counselor Appreciation Week, we are proud to celebrate Mrs. Connerly, the best school counselor we could ask for. She is a constant source of support, encouragement, and care for our students and staff. Mrs. Connerly goes above and beyond each day to help students feel safe, heard, and confident, whether they need help solving a problem, managing emotions, or planning for the future. Her kindness, patience, and dedication make a lasting impact on our school community. We are so grateful for everything she does and are lucky to have her as our school counselor!

We would like to celebrate our amazing Social Studies teacher who brings so much fun and excitement to our school each day! Her lessons are engaging, creative, and full of energy, making history and geography come alive for our students. She works incredibly hard to strengthen students’ vocabulary, helping them understand and use important academic words with confidence. Through games, discussions, and hands-on activities, she turns learning into an enjoyable experience while still challenging students to grow. Our school is lucky to have a teacher who combines hard work, passion, and fun to inspire a love of learning in every classroom.
